About Fort Roberdeau

Fort Roberdeau features the reconstructed Revolutionary War fort, buildings and smelter, a restored 19th century farmhouse and barn, a modern multi-purpose building (White Oak Hall), hiking trails, picnic tables, geocaching and costumed interpreters.

Our Staff

Fort Roberdeau’s team is made up of county employees, a community of volunteers and the Fort Roberdeau Association. It takes a lot of work, and heart to share what we do here at the fort. It is a community effort.

The Fort Roberdeau Association (FRA) is a non-profit organization created to raise funds to support programs at the fort, to educate the public and to maintain the site and its facilities. The mission is to preserve the site and to provide interpretation about the fort, the frontier inhabitants, the fort’s place in history, and the surrounding natural area.
