The Fort Robereau Association offers many opportunities for you to become involved with history and with your community.  Please consider these opportunities that assist our organization in its mission to preserve and teach the stories of Fort Roberdeau and the surrounding communities--and offer you the opportunity to meet friends, expand your horizons and serve others.

Mind

Do you know a thing or two about the American Revolution, the Pennsylvania Frontier, 18th century life. Then consider becoming a Fort Roberdeau storyteller. A Storyteller will use their knowledge and creative to compose online stories for an eager audience anxious to learn more about this period of American history.

Signing up is simple. Contact us today by email. Include your name, email, phone number, address, and area of expertise. We will then contact you to obtain writing samples. Once approved you will be selected as one of our Fort Roberdeau storytellers and you may begin sharing your stories with the rest of the online community.

Manpower

Interested in volunteering? The Fort is always looking for individuals to share their love of history and its preservation with the general public. We are currently training volunteers to help in almost every aspect of Fort work, including educational programming, maintenance, adult tours, receptionist and gift shop management, sewing and maintaining our costumes, garden/landscape management, fundraising and so much more. Volunteer Today!
