Where History Lives

Polinator Gardening

Saturday, April 28 at 11 AM

Learn how to create habitat for butterflies and other pollinators in your garden. JVAS members Drs. Stan and Alice Kotala and Jody Wallace will introduce you to the plants and techniques that will make your yard a haven for pollinators.

Meet at 11am outside White Oak Hall at Fort Roberdeau.

Saturday, May 5 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, May 6 from 1:00-3:00 PM.

After a winter break, Rangers sharpened the skills needed to patrol the frontier and protect the lead miners and settlers. Join us for a hands-on opportunity to hone your Ranger skills!

Learn cartridge rolling, fire starting, field maneuvers, musket drills, tomahawk throw, and cannon drills from the members of the Cumberland County Militia, a re-created, living history unit that portrays both Pennsylvania frontier life and life of militiamen during the American Revolution.

Admission is $5 adults, $4 seniors, and $2 children under 12.
