1779-07-07 Confirmation of Delivery of Goods

Philada, July 7th, 1779

Dr Sir

I beg the favor you will get the goods I sent up to Carlisle, now under your care, frequently exposed to the air to prevent the damage of the moth.  If it is not too much trouble I request you will send me and Inventory of what remains that I may justify my care to the whole of the Company concerned.  I think you say two pr of Shoes & two pr of Stockings were deficient.  I am with respectful Salutations to the young Ladies and Daughters, etc.
